Non-DPS Applicant Information

Applications for the 2022 – 2023 School year are now open!

DCMST is now taking applications for current 8th-grade students that would like to enter our program starting Fall 2022. All current Dearborn Public School 8th graders that are on track to successfully complete Algebra 1 by June 2022 are eligible to apply.  Students will be selected for admission based on scores on their Algebra 1 common assessment, GPA, and any available standardized test scores.

Current 8th graders that do not attend a Dearborn Public Middle School are invited to apply to the Dearborn Center for Math, Science, & Technology for the Fall of 2021.  Students can only attend the DCMST if they are planning on enrolling at either Dearborn High, Fordson, or Edsel Ford High Schools for the 2022-2023 school year.  Students will only be considered if they complete Algebra 1 by June 2021.

Beginning this year all non-DPS Students will also be required to complete an Algebra 1 Competency Exam on Wednesday, February 16th at DCMST to be eligible for acceptance. Please email our lead teacher Mrs. Shawver (shawvek@dearbornschools.org) to schedule your testing time.

Students must apply to the program through the link below.  Be prepared with electronic copies of all transcripts and standardized test scores before beginning the application.  The application deadline is March 9, 2022.  Applications will not be accepted after that date.

Note: Your responses will not be saved unless the application is complete and has been submitted.

Non-DPS Application for DCMST

Students will be selected for admission based on standardized test scores and GPA.  If more students apply that fulfill our minimum qualifications than we have space for, then all names (DPS and non-DPS) will be entered into a lottery for final selection.  The final list of students will receive acceptance letters in April of 2022.  Students that  are accepted will be required to attend an Orientation in May.
