Current 8th graders that do not attend a Dearborn Public Middle School are invited to apply to the Dearborn Center for Math, Science, & Technology for the Fall of 2021. Students can only attend the DCMST if they are planning on enrolling at either Dearborn High, Fordson, or Edsel Ford High Schools for the 2021-2022 school year. Students will only be considered if they complete Algebra 1 by June 2021.
Students must apply to the program through the link below. Be prepared with electronic copies of all transcripts and standardized test scores before beginning the application. The application deadline is March 12th, 2021. Applications will not be accepted after that date.
Note: Your responses will not be saved unless the application is complete and has been submitted.
Students will be selected for admission based on standardized test scores and GPA. If more students apply that fulfill our minimum qualifications than we have space for, then all names (DPS and non-DPS) will be entered into a lottery for final selection. The final list of students will receive acceptance letters in April of 2021. Students that are accepted will be required to attend an Orientation in May.
Friday, February 19th, is the open Question and Answer Zoom session for any current 8th grade student that is interested in attending DCMST in the Fall. This session is meant only for students; Parents had the opportunity to ask questions at the February 10th meeting. Below is the information to log into the meeting. It will begin promptly at 2pm tomorrow and end at 3pm. If you are unable to attend tomorrow’s Zoom but still have questions, please feel free to email our lead teacher Mrs. Shawver at email@example.com.
