DCMST Students win U of M Flint’s High School Physics Competition

Juniors and Seniors from across the state of Michigan participated in U of M Flint’s High School Physics Competition last week.

Teams of 3 were to describe a physics concept of their choice, followed by a working model demonstration of that concept. Students had to create a presentation 15 minutes in length and were judged by UM-Flint Physics professors.

Congratulations to DCMST’s team of juniors Sara Moughni, Zeinab Zreik, and Hadi Hammoud who won first place in the competition! They each won Amazon gift cards and scholarship money to U of M Flint if they declare a major in Physics.

Below is a picture of the Rube Goldberg Machine they created for the competition.
